Apple has finally kicked off the 2022 edition of its Worldwide Developers Conference. The main keynote of the conference, known as WWDC for short, will be streaming online, along with various breakout sessions, throughout the week.

The focus of the event was on the latest versions of Apple's operating systems, including iOS, iPadOS, MacOS, and WatchOS, and tvOS. A new MacBook Air powered by an M2 processor also made an appearance.

Apple is expected to release the third iteration of the iPhone SE in March. While many commentators expect the new version of Apple's best-priced phone to incorporate the same 4.7-inch design as its predecessor, the refreshed device seems certain to feature a more powerful chip and 5G connectivity, among other improvements.

In keeping with Apple’s usual approach to pricing, we can expect the new iPhone SE to retail for around the same as the current unit, which starts at $399.

Critical Mac update fixes Safari bug that leaks user data

A nasty bug in Safari has been discovered, and Apple has made available an update to MacOS Monterey and iOS that should solve the critical flaw.

The releases are MacOS Monterey 12.2 and iOS 15.3, both of which patch the vulnerability, which may have been exposing your browsing data. The release candidates are both currently available through GitHub, with official releases expected next week.
