We know Deadpool is headed to San Diego for Comic-Con International, but exactly how he’s getting there remained a mystery … until now, that is.
In a new photo posted to Twitter by Deadpool star Ryan Reynolds, the mutant mercenary is seen wearing a sombrero and serape while holding a sign reading “Comic-Con Por Favor” and attempting to hitch a ride along a busy road. While we’re pretty sure the former “Sexiest Man Alive” isn’t hitchhiking to the convention, it certainly wouldn’t be out of character for Deadpool, whose eccentricity is all part of his appeal.
“Hey #SDCC, Thank you for being a friend…” Reynolds wrote in the caption for the photo, offering an overt reference to Deadpool’s love for all things Golden Girls.

That wasn’t the only Deadpool-related photo to debut ahead of Comic-Con, though, as a set of new images from the film also arrived online this week courtesy of Entertainment Weekly. This batch, however, puts the spotlight on the movie’s supporting cast. (You can see a few of the photos below via ComingSoon.net.)
Among the cast members seen in the new cast photos are T.J. Miller (as Weasel), Gina Carano (as Angel Dust), Brianna Hildebrand (as Negasonic Teenage Warhead), Morena Baccarin (as Copycat), and Ed Skrein (as Ajax).
The solo debut for Marvel’s popular antihero, Deadpool follows former special forces operative Wade Wilson, who becomes a mercenary after being subjected to a military experiment that leaves him with superhuman healing powers. He then embarks on a mission to hunt down the man who nearly killed him in that rogue experiment.
Deadpool is expected to be one of several films to be featured in the 20th Century Fox panel at Comic-Con this Saturday, July 11, at 5:45 p.m. PDT.
Directed by Tim Miller and based on a script penned by Zombieland writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, the R-rated Deadpool is scheduled to arrive in theaters February 12, 2016.
