Samsung has expanded its lineup of NX lenses with a new 10mm F3.5 Fisheye Lens. Touting it as the smallest autofocusing fisheye lens on the market, Samsung says, “This super wide angle lens is half the size and weight of its competitors.” The lens, which will be available in the second half of this year (U.S. pricing and exact availability to be determined), brings the total of NX lenses to 13.
The 10mm lens (15.4mm equivalent in 35mm format) has a 180-degree angle of view, designed for landscape photographers who want to capture a wider field of view or portraits with a unique fisheye effect. The lens has an aperture of f/3.5-22, with 7 blades and a circular aperture diaphragm “to bring the subject of your images front and center,” Samsung says. There are seven elements in five groups (one aspherical lens). The lens, which will come in white or black, weighs 2.5 ounces and fits any Samsung mirrorless interchangeable lens camera with an NX mount. For casual photographers the lens includes six iScene shooting options: beauty shot, night, portrait, children, backlight, and sports.
