The Detroit Auto Show might dominate North America, and NY and LA may be splashy, but across the pond the Geneva International Motor Show in Switzerland (or GIMS, as no one calls it) headlines Europe’s automotive unveilings. It’s the largest public event in Switzerland … or used to be, anyway: 2020’s show was canceled due to COVID-19, and the foundation behind the event decided not to move ahead with a 2021 show. Will 2022 see a comeback? Will March see a line of cars at the Palexpo convention center?
