As a Contributor on Digital Trends, Gabriel Moss shares his insights about video games and technology. He also contributes to IGN and a handful of other outlets when time allows, but his day job is working with the Sales & Marketing team at Flying Fish Exhibits to bring traveling exhibitions to museums across the world.
Gabriel is a lifelong gamer with a soft spot for RPGs. He attributes his expediated reading and writing skills to having played and beaten the then-brand-new Pokémon Red on the Game Boy Color at age 2. By the time he was 8, he was avidly devouring Dungeons & Dragons 3e sourcebooks and the works of J. R. R. Tolkien. The rest of his time was spent obsessing over games like Diablo, StarCraft, Civilization, Final Fantasy, Baldur's Gate, EverQuest, Dragon Warrior Monsters (before the series was renamed to Dragon Quest in the west), point-and-click adventures like Myst and Obsidian, and more PlayStation 1-era JRPGs in the vein of Legend of Legaia and Star Ocean 2 than he could count on both hands.
Gabriel is based in Oregon. He graduated from Portland State University in 2017 with a B.A. in Marketing & Advertising Management with a minor in Psychology. This education gave Gabriel a leg-up in communication and problem-solving skills, which are both crucial in reporting effectively on games and tech.
