Will Borger is a Pushcart Prize-nominated fiction writer and essayist who has been covering games for more than a decade. Will received his BA in English from UCF and his MFA in Fiction from Sarah Lawrence College. He prefers to write reviews and features, and takes pride in using his knowledge of theory and technique to approach game criticism from a unique angle that (hopefully) helps elevate what games criticism can be.
Will’s fiction and essays have previously appeared in YourTango, Veteran Life, Marathon Literary Review, Purple Wall Stories, and Abergavenny Small Press. His games writing has also appeared at IGN, Shacknews, PC Gamer, Unwinnable, TechRadar, Into the Spine, Lifebar, PCGamesN, The Loadout, and elsewhere.
Will specializes in covering fighting, action, strategy, and role-playing games, co-hosts The Platformers Podcast, and runs a fighting game local for games press and content creators. He enjoys good company, a stiff drink, good company, and a compelling novel. He lives in New York with his wife and cat. You can find him on Bluesky @edgarallanbro.
